Perched overlooking Merriconeag Sound rests this charming, beautifully furnished 2BR, 1BA Bailey Island cottage. Perfectly located in the West Shore neighborhood, you'll love being within walking distance of all the islands have to offer including Cook's Lobster & Ale House, Sundrenched, Fishnet Cafe, Bailey Island General Store, and just a short drive away from other great local eats. Spend your days lounging on the sunlit deck watching the lobster boats pass by or go on a nearby adventure. Just make sure you make it back in time for the glorious sunsets over the sound. Inside the cottage are two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, a full bathroom with a shower, fully stocked kitchen, and a living room area with a sofa, two chairs and a flat screen TV. For additional comfort, the cottage offers heat pumps with A/C for hot summer days. Outside there is an elevated deck with a picnic table, umbrella, and two adirondack chairs, a yard area, and stairs to access the waterfront. Experience Maine, the way life should be, at Sea Ledge North and it will surely beckon you back for years to come! Please note- The stairs to access the waterfront are very steep. For easy kayak access, we would recommend launching from Garrison Cove, just down the road. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, very good experience. The cabin was very nice and well maintained. The booking process was very easy. The property manager(s) were very friendly and accommodating. I wish the property had a bathroom in the lower level located near the bedrooms. I would have also liked having laundry facilities on the property. Because of the location of the cabin, going to the nearest place to do laundry would have been very time consuming.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the cottage. Right on the water!! Sunsets were beautiful. Very clean and well stocked. Took us awhile to figure out how to watch TV but we are an older couple and “technically challenged “. As seniors we also had a challenge with the bedrooms beings downstairs but I missed this description on the website so this was my fault. Regardless we had a wonderful week. Two comments: we paid $115 for linens so I did not expect to put them on when we arrived. The owners should have this done for their guests. Also having to do housework upon leaving the cottage should not be the guest’s responsibility.

Reviewer Comments: My brother and I along with our spouses had a great week at Sea Ledge North (49 West Shore) and if we return to Bailey Island in the future we'd want to stay here again. This house is in a perfect location, great views, has been tastefully updated, very well appointed for cooking, front and back porches and is perfect for 4 people. One note on the WIFI, the PW is shown in upper-case letters on the welcome sheet, however, the PW must be entered in all lower-case letters (may want to update that) Loved to walk to the "Fishing Net" cafe each morning for breakfast and Cook's Lobster for drinks. 5 stars for this rental!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the cottage to be much nicer than the photos show. The refrigerator was noisy, and the shower drain can’t manage the flow so it builds up. It is noted in the ad, but the bathroom being on a different floor than the bedroom was difficult for me in the middle of the night. But, the absolutely incredible view makes up for those minor irritations.

Beautiful location, charming cabin AMAZING view Quick response from property management Extra charge for linens Beds are unmade when you arrive Very flat, poor quality pillows Cabin was stocked with one partial roll of toilet paper and no store on Island had TP With the negatives I would still highly recommend, great location
