I stayed for 4 nights and overall had a positive experience considering the price and location. The biggest advantage is the proximity to Al Haram. It is a manageable walk for people who are comfortable walking, and taxis are easily available for a quick 5–10 SAR ride when needed.
The staff was welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth and quick. I had informed the hotel in advance about my expected arrival around Zuhr time, and there was no waiting time upon arrival. The room was clean at check-in, the AC worked well, and the room cooling was excellent. The individual AC and water heater setup provided good control and convenience.
I also appreciated the smooth checkout process. I had to leave early to move to another hotel closer to Haram for my family's arrival, and the transition was handled without any issues.
Overall:
I would recommend this hotel for travelers who prioritize value, cleanliness, good service, and reasonable proximity to Al Haram. It is a good option for individuals or physically fit travelers who are comfortable walking, while families with elderly members may prefer a hotel closer to the main Haram entrances for easier access.
The walk to Haram is manageable but should be considered carefully, especially for families with elderly members or women. The route involves walking through the Marriott side route or vis Anjum Hotel and reaching the Haram courtyard area, but getting to the main building entrances can take around 20–30 minutes depending on your pace and crowd conditions. During hot weather, the walk under the sun can be challenging.
There is also a busy road intersection that needs to be crossed and narrow sidewalks which may not be ideal for elderly guests or those traveling with children. Due to reconstruction in the area, many nearby shops and restaurants have disappeared. A few options are still available along the road, and more can be found on the back streets around the hotel.
The hotel reception is located on the first floor, so you need to use the elevator upon arrival. There is no dedicated concierge service. During my stay, there was no room cleaning or refresh service, although I personally did not miss it since I was mostly outside and traveling alone. The shower experience was average and could be improved.
