Room was clean and tidy. Manager was friendly and helpful. Bathroom and toilet were clean and functional. Bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. There was actually a small fridge in the room, which was a nice surprise, and it worked very well. The instructions, when they arrived, were very clear but could be a little improved to explain about the smart lighting (knowing that it's smart lighting was half the battle). That said the light worked really well and was dimmable, to some extent anyway. For the price of the room for the night, this was actually an amazing overnight option.
2 tiny gripes.... (if I were being REALLY picky!) nothing major at all though. Advertised "on-site private parking" wasn't available but this wasn't terrible as there was a lot of on street parking available, very close by. The second thing was the light in the room was a smart light with a remote control, but there was nothing to tell me that when I arrived - quick call to the manager and he let me know there was a remote control. Both of these gripes are easily fixed (remove the "on-site private parking" reference in the info and add an extra paragraph to the welcome message.

Good location with enough parking spots on the street. My room was just all right, I had the bunk bed. Great system for locks, really fancy and reliable.
Nothing makes you more happy than self check-in after midnight to find out your room has absolutely no towels for you. Of course it was too late to reach the owners and of course it was too late to get one from nearby Tesco. Staff error or not, I didn't buy the story that "the guests prefer to have their own towels".
Another quirky rule is the "no shoes policy". I'd understand if all floors including rooms had carpets, but that applies only to stairs. I understand that owners most likely live in the house and prefer to limit the amount of cleaning, but still.
