The Country Cabin at Bear Bluff Retreat is located on a wooded 20 acres above and overlooking Wright's Bend on Center Hill Lake near Rock Island State Park. The surrounding area is considered the waterfall mecca of Tennessee with more caves, waterfalls and scenic overlooks per square mile than anywhere else in the United States.
This cabin features a country theme and provides a perfect place to relax on the porch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Guest access: The entire cabin is yours to enjoy. You will also have access to our on-site laundry room and propane barbecue under the pergola by our meadow.
Other things to note:
Please drive slowly and carefully on our entry road, especially at night. It can be dark here and we like to keep it that way so that you can enjoy the night sky from your cabin porch.

We had a wonderful stay at the "Country" cabin (the third one on the side). The inside of the cabin was exactly as pictured on the site—very clean, quaint, and comfortable. It is located close to the owner’s residence, and sitting outside on the deck listening to the birds chirp was beautiful and relaxing.The Perfect Location for WaterfallsThis cabin was the perfect base camp for our waterfall adventures. We were able to easily visit:Twin FallsGreat FallsPiney FallsFall Creek FallsLost Creek FallsCrane Creek FallsBurgess Falls / Cummins Falls (about an hour away)Food NearbyWe found some great local spots during our trips:Renea's Kitchen At Midway (excellent for a meal near the cabin)Lazy Cow Creamery (perfect for ice cream)Gio's Pizzeria in Cookeville (a great stop when visiting Cummins Falls)A Few Things to NoteWhile we loved our stay, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. When all the cabins are fully booked, you are positioned very close to the neighboring cabin, which takes away a little bit of the privacy and peacefulness when sitting on the deck. Also, a local woodpecker acted as our early morning alarm clock!Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean place to stay if you looking to explore the nearby falls.

Very clean and everything was there that you needed. The hosts were very welcoming and they are pet friendly. The views are amazing and watching all the wildlife was a plus. I would definitely go back

Everything about this little cabin was phenomenal with the exception of privacy. The view was amazing and the little cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. I really enjoyed bringing my portable hammock stand and curling up on the porch with my book. We did some cooking and found all the dishes and utensils we needed. There is not a dishwasher in the cabin, but this was not a big deal with just two people dirtying dishes. The cabin is only about 15 minutes from Rock Island State Park. We were able to head over there in the morning with the dog and back to the cabin in the afternoon/evening. My only complaint was the lack of privacy. There are two other cabins that are super close and the property owner has a home about 30 yards from the cabin. We could see and hear the people who were staying next door to us when they were on their porch. One of the nights we were there, there was a party at the main house. There were people walking back and forth in front of our cabin while we were sitting at the fire pit. If you don't mind having others in very close proximity to your retreat, want a gorgeous view and a cute, cozy cabin, you will love this place!
