Elegant & beautifully renovated apartment of 90 sqm in the historic centre of Lucca situated on the walls of Piazza Anfiteatro, on the third and last floor. It has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a shower and the other with a bath) living-dining room, fireplace and a kitchen equipped with everything you need. Air conditioning in the rooms.
You will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Piazza Anfiteatro. The apartment has just been completely refurnished with a mix of antiques and contemporary Italian furniture, the majority of which has been sourced in Tuscany. In less than 2 minutes walk you can reach Guinigi Tower, S. Frediano’s church, the shopping street Via Fillungo, and the ancient walls surrounding the old town.

Really enjoyed our stay in Lucca and loved this apartment. We had 4 people including two teens and worked out great. Second bedroom and bath upstairs so everyone had their privacy. Great view of the Piazza Anfiteatro from the kitchen window and was so convenient to everything. The host has a list of recommended things to do and restaurants.

Amazing place, lovingly decorated, very cosy. Great layout, warm and inviting space. Excellent communication with hosts Luciano and Louise, super friendly. Amphitheatre was right outside our window, which was amazing, what a view. Very clean and listing was extremely accurate (in fact, i think the pictures do not show how lovely it is! Listing does clearly say there is no elevator and must climb to 4th floor. We were fine but they are a little steep.) 11/10.

Excellent location. Clean. Host was very prompt with responses and professional. Definitely need to pack light to climb the 3 floors to the room. Anyone having difficulty climbing stairs should not consider this property. No shower on the main floor and served to be a problem for the people staying in the bedroom next to it. Second bedbroom also located on the second floor in the apartment and steep stairs to get to it. Overall great location.

Pros:The apartment is cute and well situated and the beds are comfortable. Lucca is charming. Cons:The narrow winding 45 stairs can be a trek with the steps about a foot tall, so carrying luggage can be an issue.Check in was the worst we’ve ever experienced in years of Int’l travel rentals. Poor communication, even though I sent many messages and WhatsApp texts and phone calls. Owner did not meet us, left key in a lock box, did not communicate and it ended up being a long fiasco with a kind plumber trying to help us. No notice of what floor or how to enter the apt (a code was needed). Again no info was sent before just short WhatsApp messages that arrived later with more confusion. Even old neighbor said this has been a problem before, the plumber working on another unit spent an hour trying to reach the owners and help us figure it out. He did not speak any english and we do not speak Italian, but he was so upset that someone would do this that he refused to leave me and my children till he could reach someone and get us settled after a long journey. This was wholly unnecessary. Not even call to ask if we managed to unlock the box for the keys or find the apt floor or the code to enter the apt.This poor communication continued with no info beforehand and none in the apt- on how to use the AC, where remote was, how to use the wash machine, where to put garbage, no waste bags, no clothing detergent, burner broke….We’ve always had great welcomes& prior info till now.
