Location was terrific. Clean, roomy, quiet - and with air con - which I was delighted by as it was still quite warm when I first arrived in Tirana. The property managers and the team were fantastic. Helpful and informative whenever I contacted them - and even helped me with my suitcase on arrival and leaving.
My only issue was with the toilet. While the bathroom has been recently renovated, there was some issues with the toilet flushing, and lots of wires and things (nothing dangerous) and exposed plumbing that gave it an unfinished feeling. I adjusted, had a couple of visits to explain how to juggle the flushing mechanism - and made it work. The rest of the apartment was fine.

The host was excellent and dealt with issues as they arose and was available should we have any questions.

Very central, nice and tidy apartment. Worth exploring this place.
1) I was asked by the owner to pay EUR or LEK before arriving. Since I needed LEK otherwise, I exchanged my GBP at a bad rate at airport. When I settled the bill with the owner at the day’s rate between GBP to LEK, they said no we have our own rates and if you want to pay £65 in LEK, it would be at 95 as opposed to 108. I found it odd and misleading because they themselves asked me to pay in LEK in cash, not that it made a huge difference in the sum.
2) spiral stairs to 2nd floor which makes it very difficult if you have a big luggage. There are no hand rails.
