We spent almost three weeks at Murilo's house and we can definitely say that this place is AMAZING!!! The house itself is fantastic, and its surroundings and amenities exceeded our expectations. We'll miss that incredible view from the terrace while sipping our morning coffee. The house is beautifully designed, with three comfortable bedrooms downstairs with ensuite bathrooms, and a huge kitchen and living room upstairs, all at your exclusive disposal. And if that's not enough space, you have a balcony off the living room, a terrace next to the kitchen, or a lounge area downstairs by the pool – you can drink coffee in a different spot every day, and each one will feel like you're in a fairytale. Remember – you're choosing a house in the mountains, so evenings can be chilly, so you can warm up in the sauna with a wood stove – it was absolutely fantastic. And if you get too hot during the day, jump in the pool, which is regularly cleaned. You don't have to worry about fresh bread, because Murilo has arranged it for you, and you have a daily delivery – be sure to grab some Pastéis de Nata. We've visited many places, but I've never encountered a host as proactive and responsive as Murilo. He shared valuable tips and helped us overcome various challenges we encountered. Other hosts could learn from his approach to guests. We're already recommending Casa do Sol to all our friends if they're planning a trip to northern Portugal.
If I could, I would make time pass slower in this place. I see absolutely no negative sides to this place.

Nous avons adoré la maison très bien équipée : tout est superbe : la pierre, le bois, les immenses baies vitrées panoramiques, la cuisine, les chambres. La vue est magnifique depuis les balcons et l'espace piscine. Il y a 3 espaces différents pour manger, prendre un verre, se détendre. La piscine est très belle. Les chambres très bien équipées avec chacune une douche lavabo toilettes, ce qui rend le logement très confortable pour un séjour à plusieurs. Il nous été très agréable aussi d'avoir le pain et les viennoiseries livrées par le boulanger très sympathique le matin à 9h à l'entrée de la maison, merci au propriétaire qui a pris en charge ces frais de bouche matinaux. Merci aussi à Olga pour son accueil chaleureux.
Deux seuls petits bémols qui n'entachent nullement la satisfaction globale : l'accès par une petite route très pentue et la mise en route des arrosages automatiques entre 16h et 17h, ce qui nous a surpris et bien arrosé lors d'un goûter à table près de la piscine.

Casa Do Sol is a one of a kind holiday property. A private secluded mountainside home with panoramic views of Northern Portugals valleys, forests and mountains. From start to finish the experience was special. Murillo ( host ) was easily the most welcoming and helpful host of any property we've stayed in, endless recommendations, help with any questions and also helping us arrange and book a masseuse to come over. The pool was excellent, the sauna was superb and the kitchen and living room was ideal for groups of friends and family that enjoy cooking and eating together in a lovely open space, perfect for spending quality time together. All three bedrooms come with a pristine en-suite bathroom, with wonderful showers/ baths, with patio doors leading right out into the garden with views you could look at for days. A true 5 star holiday retreat.
Nothing the property was excellent! Just to be noted that the property is fairly remote and requires driving some small and winding roads.
