Excellent location but trip was compromised by lack of functioning air conditioners

Great location and view. Very clean and property management company very responsive to two small problems (no hot water, and clogged shower drain)

Air conditioner in only two rooms and even those did not function properly (master bedroom kept the room cool, but was very loud, even with earplugs. Main room air conditioner could only keep room at 26c with all the window shutters closed all day)

A miniature palace/villa right on the lake

We absolutely loved this place! It's a beautiful, spacious apartment decorated and furnished in a way that makes you feel like you're staying in one of the famous Lake Como villas, with windows and a balcony giving an unobstructed view of the lake. The location is fantastic, too. Tremezzo is much quieter and more relaxing than Bellagio but still in the middle of everything - it was so easy to get back and forth to Bellagio, Varenna, and other places around the lake - and the apartment itself is practically across the street from the ferry dock with restaurants and cafes (and a gelato place that our kids loved) within a few minutes walk and only a 5-10 minute walk to the Villa Carlotta. It is close to the main road so there is some noise from passing traffic, but not much and it didn't bother us (we liked the proximity and convenience).

The prep/dishwashing area for the restaurant next door is very close to the master bedroom and balcony and the sound of clanking dishes can become very loud, especially in the morning. Our itineraries had early starts each day, but we could see how anyone trying to sleep past 7 am could get annoyed.
