Great location, but very poorly managed access and confusing key instructions. Problems with the locks and communication

Location.

I had a very disappointing experience with this stay in Vilnius. The information about the keys and access was confusing from the beginning. The key instructions and photos provided through the app were not properly delivered by email, and the apartment stickers had apparently been placed on the wrong safety boxes. There was also conflicting information about the doors. Getting into the building was very poorly managed, and late at night we ended up sitting on the stairs trying to figure everything out. The owner eventually answered the phone, which I appreciated. The locks were another major issue. We struggled with them 2–3 times, including one occasion when it took more than 30 minutes to unlock the door from the inside and get out of the apartment. Unfortunately, the problems continued afterwards. Immediately after booking, I received a threatening-sounding message, and later we received an invoice for the cost of changing the locks because we had left the keys in one of the safety boxes marked with the apartment sticker. We were then told that this was actually the wrong safety box, which made the situation even more frustrating. The apartment itself was okay. The location is excellent, and if you only need somewhere to sleep, it is adequate. However, it is not particularly cosy or inviting for spending time inside. The owner was responsive, but the communication often felt unnecessarily confrontational. The combination of the confusing access instructions, problems with the locks, and the subsequent accusations and additional charges unfortunately spoiled a significant part of our vacation. I would strongly recommend putting more effort into making the check-in and access instructions clear, ensuring that the apartment and safety boxes are correctly labelled, and avoiding charging guests for internal management issues caused by unclear instructions. Great location and an acceptable apartment, but unfortunately I would not stay here again.

Fantastic location in Vilnius old town

Fantastic location close to the main sights, but on one of the quiet streets in Vilnius. Spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen, very responsive hosts. It was a very hot day, but inside I was feeling very comfortably even though there's no A/C.

I couldn't get the blinds working properly, I think they are broken, so there was still light in the room at night. And the electric socket is not directly by the bed in the bedroom, rather on the wall next to it, but that's okay.

Appartment in the old town

The location is very good for the old town. The appartment was clean and the info how to access the property was clearly explained.

Blinds in the kitchen and bedroom weren't working, which was an inconvenience. The furniture was a bit tired but in a good working order.
