What a wonderful stay at Landhaus Kekkola! We booked the place sort of last minute after a long day of hiking. They happened to be having a busy event for locals as we arrived. Despite that, the owners found the time to be extremely welcoming, show us our room and the facilities, and even heat up the sauna for us! Bed was surprisingly comfortable and the room warm, despite a cold rainy day. Complimentary breakfast was also fabulous. But the best part of the experience was definitely the owners’ hospitability, the kind you simply do not get at hotel chains. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Nothing major to mention really. It is an old house, so you can quite easily hear things from rooms next door and outside, but we of course knew this upon booking. And they offer complimentary ear plugs for all guests :)

We never met the host, but they sent instructions for the front door which worked okay.
Plenty of parking.
Oh dear, this place just didn't work for us!
It was our mistake that we booked a room with no bathroom, but the two shared "bathrooms" (only one with shower) were a bit small.
Wooden room door didn't keep the corridor noise out.
Mosquito screen on window was falling apart. Needs maintenance!
We had much better breakfasts at other places in Finland.
We overlooked the car park, but other rooms might give you a view of the goods trains passing by.
On-site restaurant wasn't open for dinner yet in early June.
We stayed at much better farmhouse / manor house places elsewhere in Finland, and Kekkola suffers in comparison with them.
