Ottima posizione sia per la spiaggia cala rossa che per il centro storico. Parcheggio auto a pagamento vicinissimo

Avevo chiesto espressamente il piano della mia camera e mi è stato scritto che tutte le stanze erano al primo piano. Invece la camera (n.105) era nel sottotetto e si raggiungeva con una scala di ferro strettissima e ripida.la tv prendeva pochissimi canali. Non c'era nessuno ad accoglierci e le chiavi si prendevano col codice

Superbe établissement peu coûteux pour le confort qu'il offre. Emplacement au centre, mais dans une rue calme. J'y reviendrai si je reviens à Ortigia.

Le lit est trop petit ce n'est malheureusement pas pour deux personnes.

We liked being in Ortigia and the location was central for walking around. The surprise was that there was a washing machine in the kitchen, so we were able to do some laundry and it had a drying rack, which we brought into our room so that our things were not in the common area.

First off, unless we went to the Mediterranean Hotel to do an in-person check-in, we would have seen no staff at all. That hotel is in Syracuse, not on Ortigia. Our understanding is that accommodations, in following the rules, are supposed to see their customers face-to-face. Here they just wanted us to do an online check-in, sending our passport pictures. Or are we too old school that we expect people contact and a host and a friendly face? Thebooking.com listing did not say anything about it being like a hostel setting where you open the door to the accommodation room with your key and you find out that there are four or five other rental rooms in that space and you share common kitchen. Not explained in the listing. The floor was dirty. The toilet seat moved 2 inches while you were sitting on it. It takes 10 minutes between flushes to refill the tank. There was no hot water in the shower. The staff that husband communicated with via WhatsApp did send somebody. Still no hot water and the toilet seat was still loose. The air conditioning unit did not have a fan adjustment. It blew full blast directly onto the bed. We did not bother to say anything about that because we already felt like we were problem clients. We just covered our heads sheet when we slept. The listing also said that there was a coffeemaker in the room, instead, it was out in the kitchen area. Just mentioning it because the listing is not accurate. The listing also said courtyard view. I am not sure what that was. The stairwell did have somebody's plants there because this clearly was a building that also had people's actual residences. But when you look down the stairwell, there were people's bicycles and garbage bins. Be aware that you will walk a km with your luggage from parking.
