Easy check in with a lock box located at the front of the property. It was quite clean - although some of the dishes in the cupboard had to be washed before use. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need to cook with. Towels and dish soap were provided. Great space and enough room for everyone. we used the charcoal BBQ outside to grill some steaks, which was a nice addition. It is about a 20 min drive up narrow and windy roads to the town of Peso da Regua - for groceries/restaurants/gas etc. This place has a lot of potential - just needs a little extra TLC and attention.
we were really looking forward to the pool - when we arrived, it looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. There was a lot of deposits on the bottom of the pool, along with probably a few hundred flies and bees floating in the water. They do provide a net for you to fish debris out - but upon checking in I would have thought it would have been somewhat cleaned prior to our arrival. In addition, the photos posted are not accurate as there is a metal fence obscuring the view of the vineyards from the pool area. We did reach out to the management company - who said they would reach out to the owners. The pool pump was turned on 2 days later, which just... circulated all the debris. Once the pump was off again, it all settled at the bottom. We did not get to use the pool.
we also informed the management company that the soap in the washroom was empty/filled 1/4 with water. and that the lights in the master bathroom were not working. They also told us they would reach out to the owners - nothing was done about either of these and we stayed there for 3 nights. My In-laws who are in their 70's had to use the bathroom/shower in the dark/ with the door open to get light from the bedroom. In the end, we all just shared the second bathroom once it got dark - not ideal.
We also reached out to the owners for a tour of the Quinta - unfortunately they were closed for both the days we were there and available - which was totally fine. I asked if they had any suggestions of local quintas to visit instead - they replied with "go to Pinhao" , which was not very helpful at all!

Beautiful, tranquil and quiet property away from the city and surrounded by vineyards. Very helpful and personable host who treated us with generous hospitality. Excellent equipped kitchen. We were the second guests to stay at this property and the host did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend. Best to stock on up food and truly enjoy the place.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful vacation home and would like to share my experience. The house offers a breathtaking view and is situated in a beautiful location. The surrounding scenery was simply enchanting, and it was a true delight to wake up each morning and experience this beauty.
The vacation home itself was extremely cozy and inviting. The interior design was tastefully done, creating a warm atmosphere. It was evident that a lot of attention to detail was put into the design and furnishings of the house. Everything we needed during our stay was available. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare our own meals and enjoy the convenience of a home away from home.
One particularly enjoyable feature was the fact that the house had air conditioning, which was very helpful during the warm temperatures. Additionally, there was a small outdoor pool that provided a welcome cooling-off spot and was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun.
Another aspect that positively influenced our experience was the cleanliness of the house. Upon our arrival, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained, giving us a pleasant sense of hygiene and comfort.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They were available at all times to answer our questions and provide us with tips and recommendations. Their warm hospitality contributed to making us feel truly welcomed and comfortable during our stay.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience in this beautiful vacation home. The amazing view, cozy atmosphere, good amenities, and friendly hosts all contributed to making our time there unforgettable. I highly recommend this vacation home and hope that other travelers also have the opportunity to enjoy this great accommodation.
