A fantastic find in beautiful Dongguan. Surrounded by nature this hotel features Chinese artwork and artifacts, and is tastefully styled. I stayed in the annex wing in the apartment with washer/dryer machine included which was helpful while travelling. The most comfortable bed and bedding. Loved the massage parlour downstairs, I even went back for the foot spa the next night. The hotel features both indoor and outdoor pools, 2 hot spa pools, cold plunge pool, sauna and steam rooms - bliss. Best bext of all, only a 5-minute walk to Qinfeng Park with pagodas, lake and a hike to Mountaintop Lantern for 360-degree views of the city.
Annex was a little tricky to find from main hotel. Wifi weak so had to use roaming data.

Location, well thought out rooms and amenities.
Maybe a bit nitpicking here but elevators are on one end of each floor. So if unluckily, you're assigned a room at the opposite end of a carpeted corridor from where the elevators are, it will be a long walk to your room, and wheeled luggage don't roll easily on carpet. However, if you like to swim, the elevator that leads to the pool, is at that opposite end, so that's convenient for that guest. So there.

Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms.
No proper bar to sit in and relax in the evenings. The bar which was available had no closed room of their own and would shut at 11pm. One expects a hotel bar to remain open till midnight. If anyone walked into the lobby of the hotel or was standing at the check in counter, it was completely open for anyone to see who was sitting at the bar. It did not give any warm feeling as a comfortable place to relax.
