Food and comfort, staff service.
The distance to the beach, isn't so far away but you have to walk like 500mts through wooden bridge

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They took care of everything for me to ensure I got to experience everything I wanted to. I speak little to no Spanish and they don’t speak much English (like everyone else in the region) but it didn’t prevent me from having an incredible experience. From the rooms you can hear the ocean, the property is set back from the other hotels so it’s quiet and more in nature. The meals are delicious and fresh. But the staff are what make La Martina truly once in a lifetime.
The power goes out sporadically - but I was warned about this before I arrived so I was prepared with portable chargers. And I had enough power when I needed it

La Martina is off at the edge of Guachalito. It's so beautifully set at the edge of the vareda, with boardwalk trails to & from connecting it with the beach & rest of the locals. Peaceful but accessible. LOVED it.
we went deep sea fishing & the fish weren't hungry. Oh well, I'll get them next time. Gorgeous landscapes along the coast of Choco. and we saw dolphins.
