The location, the simplicity, the sound of the birds. It was warm despite a cold night. Bed was comfortable
I didn’t know in advance of the charge for sauna. Fortunately I saw the charge for towels.
No coffee for the cafetière (only coffee maker) was a surprise which spoilt the morning s bit - a note on these in the introductory email would have been helpful.

A really lovely quaint little place to stay, perfect for a quite break away. The steps are very steep though so be careful.
The only thing I’d suggest is putting a splash back by the hob area just to protect the shepherds hut itself.

This charming hotel is nestled in the heart of the forest, offering a serene and scenic escape while still being easily accessible from the nearby town. The spacious open field is perfect for children and dogs to run around freely, making it an ideal spot for families and pet owners. Rooms are equipped with heaters, ensuring a cozy stay even during chilly early mornings or late evenings.
One minor drawback is the limited number of bathrooms, which may not be sufficient given the overall guest capacity.
