Situated in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, this charming chalet for $187 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Chalet Icogne was built in traditional Savoyard style and equipped with all modern conveniences. It is located at 1550m, 40 meters from the slopes at the top of the snow-sure ski village of Sainte Foy Station. The large windows of the spacious living room on the 1st floor offer a magnificent view of the snowy peaks of Mont Pourri all year round. The balcony faces south-west so there is sun all afternoon and there is always a lot of snow around the chalet in the winter. On the ground floor there are 2 double rooms and a room with 4 bunk beds. Furthermore 2 bathrooms, 1 with a bathtub. 2 toilets of which 1 separately. Enough cupboard space. The following facilities are available: wireless internet, washing / drying machine, espresso and filter coffee machines, plasma TV with satellite reception, and raclette machine, dishwasher, microwave etc Firewood is included in the rent and the beds are made upon arrival. Sheets are available. No towels.

Very easy booking and communication with host great. No question was too much! Chalet and position wonderful. Great warm boot room and downstairs bedrooms were perfect. Two bathrooms were ideal with 6 kids in tow! Living area upstairs was big and spacious with a huge table. Views amazing, but location (right next to piste down to main lift) was perfect considering we visited in April when snow can be dodgy that late in the season. Skied from and to within 15 metres of chalet every day and only a short walk down to small supermarket. Roughly our 5th trip to Ste Foy and easily the best chalet for our group in terms of location and size. Thank you!

Perfect for our family trip to Sainte Foy. We’ve spent many years skiing in this lovely resort but this was our first time in this fabulous chalet. The views are beautiful with easy access to the slopes and the walk back up from the village will certainly burn a few calories. The fire was the icing on the cake.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are all downstairs so the upstairs can make the most of the vista.
The restaurant 1580 is right on your doorstep and the food and beers brewed there are gorgeous too.
The listing is clear about the walk up to the chalet there is no car access but as long as you are aware of that it’s not that bad. Once we had unloaded the car you quickly get used to the steep route up to the front door.
One thing to note the bedding provided by the housekeepers didn’t fit the duvets and pillows there so that does need to be addressed.
The shower room and bathroom are great with a loo in the main bathroom and the addition of the extra loo in a separate room is also a big bonus.
The boot room was fab loads of space to leave ski gear.
We loved our week and hope to return again.

Chalet good, no limit on wood for beautiful open fire.
Bedsheets do not fit, in desperate need of new bedding and pillow need replacing immediately.
Parking is contentious.
Not suitable for for the unfit as difficult to get to in the snow especially carrying your luggage.

We were 6 adults and the accommodation also fitted as as expected. The beds were comfy and if I had to find a fault it would be the pillows which probably need replacing and the bed linen which was clean and not a big issue but it didn't fit the pillows or duvets - ie the pillow cases were square for rectangular pillows and the duvet covers enormous for single duvets! But honestly these did not affect our enjoyment of the holiday or our views of the location and lovely living area upstairs. There was also a piano overlooking the valley on the living area which the 3 of us who played really enjoyed!!

Einfach wunderschön!
Die Lage ist ein Traum. Wir haben es zu jeder Tageszeit genossen, vom Balkon aus die grandiose Aussicht auf die umliegende Bergwelt mit den schneebedeckten Gipfeln zu bestaunen. Der kostenlose Sessellift liegt fast direkt vor der Tür und man kann direkt hinter dem Haus schöne Wanderungen starten. Mit dem Auto erricht man darüberhinaus weitere faszinierende Seitentäler und Gipfel. Das Haus bietet viel Platz und Komfort, vor allem der großzügige Wohn-Essbereich hat uns sehr gefallen.

Gorgeous chalet on the slopes
Our second stay at this lovely chalet - its location in the heart of the ski resort yet right on the main piste down to the lift is perfect. Very comfortable chalet with everything you need. Highly recommend.

Family ski holiday
The chalet is in a great location, only a few steps from the slopes. Due to its proximity to the ski piste, there is no direct car access, and luggage will have to be carried up to the chalet across a small foot path.m The chalet is very well-equiped, and offers great views of the surrounding mountains. We (a family of five) had a wonderful time.

Beautiful chalet with fantastic view
The chalet has a beautiful view over the valley, it is well equipped and the contact with the owner was very good. We, 2 adults and our two childrens (11 years), had a relaxing week and there are many activities possible.

Le chalet est très agréable et parfaitement fonctionnel.
Nous avons profité de la vue incroyable depuis le balcon et de la cheminée car il a neigé pendant le séjour.
Petite contrainte, l’accès au chalet depuis la route, un peu difficile avec les bagages et les courses.
C’était tout simplement un magnifique séjour en famille dans un cadre cocooning et chaleureux.

Will definitely return
The place is beautiful, the location ideal. Despite the bedrooms being tiny they were fine for the 10 days and they were better than the photos on the listing and the beds were comfortable. The living space was spacious and very comfortable and the house was well equipped. The balcony has spectacular views! The cleanliness was ok, just a bit more care needed when cleaning under beds and cupboards and cornes which were dusty and dirty. The chalet not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there is no car access and a steep climb from the road which kept us fit carrying luggage and food shops! We visited in the summer and there is access to lots of amazing walks. Overall I would definitely recommend it!

Dommage pas de TV pendant 15 jours
Le chalet est super et correspond à l'annonce.
Il manque des rideau sur les vitres du haut de la baie vitrée pour se protéger de la chaleur.
Le décodeur TV en panne à notre arrivée n'a pas été remplacé , donc 15 jours sans TV dommage ou pas ...

A gem of a find!
A beautiful large chalet which suited our group of two families with kids absolutely perfectly. Everything and more we needed for a relaxing end of season ski break.
The chalet is perfectly located approx 10m away from the blue run behind it allowing you to ski down to the main chair lift with ease. Or walk down through the cut-throughs to get to the boulangerie and supermarket in less than 5 mins.
Inside the chalet the hosts have provided everything you could possibly need and the big balcony with breathtaking views is amazing. Thoroughly recommend - and we hope to return again soon!

Great homely chalet (almost on) pistes
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Easter break. Chalet has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxed ski trip. Especially enjoyed the open fire, the fully equipped kitchen and the spectacular view from the balcony. When we arrived finding the chalet at night in snow was a little tricky as was transporting the gear - but once you are settle in it’s a great location for the pistes. Be aware the trip to and from the village supermarket / bars etc. involves an uphill / upstairs walk, good exercise though!

luxe chalet in prachtige, rustige omgeving
We wilden onze 4 kinderen graag laten kennis maken met de Alpen, nou dat is gelukt! Toen we in het chalet aankwamen waren ze volledig door het dolle heen. Niet alleen de bergen vonden ze fantastisch, maar ook het chalet, de hangmat, de stapelbedden. En niet te vergeten alle beestjes die ze probeerden te vangen rondom het chalet. Ze zijn er uren zoet mee geweest. Ondertussen was het goed toeven in de ligstoelen achter het huis met een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. De uitrusting van het chalet was zeer compleet, ook van binnen (en vanaf het terras) is het uitzicht overigens prachtig. Contact met de hulpvaardige eigenaar kwam eenvoudig tot stand. We hebben genoten van de rust en stilte rondom het chalet. In de omgeving hebben we een paar mooie wandeltochten gemaakt. Kortom een erg geslaagde zomerweek in een rustig deel van de hoge Alpen!

We have been visiting St Foy for the last eight years and this year we stayed at the beautiful Chalet Icogne. Its at the top of the resort in the beautiful upper village area. The view from the living room is spectacular and completely uninterrupted. Its south west facing so you get sun throughout the day which just adds to the holiday if you ever decide to take a break from the slopes. The upper village is very pretty but also means you ski down to the lift and ski lessons, so you never have to carry the kid’s skis or polls.
This is a true ski in/out chalet with only tiny little walk to the opening onto the slope. We would leave our skis outside the front door each night and boots (etc) inside the front door in the very convenient 'boot changing' entrance room. The bedrooms are simple but very nice with a double, twin and bunk bed room (for 4). The living room has a lovely feel to it. Its gets fantastic light and is a beautiful space to relax in for breakfast, lunch and especially at night after a days skiing.
There is also covered parking a little distance away which means your car is ready to go with no 'dig out' on the day of your departure.
All in all this is a fantastic Chalet for a family (or two, as accomodates 8). The location is awesome and we look forward to returning next season. Patrick.

Great Chalet
Chalet Icogne is well appointed and Ste. Foy Tarentaise is a wonderful, cozy ski resort. We were 6 adults and the chalet was very comfortable. The chalet is definitely "ski in" and it is just a short walk between 2 chalets to the slope. On the bottom floor, there are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have double beds and one has 2 bunkbed sets (4 people). The bathrooms are also all located on this ground floor. You have 1 bathroom with a toilet/sink, a 2nd bathroom with shower/sink and the 3rd bathroom with bathtub/shower combo, sink, toilet. None of the bedrooms is "en-suite"
Upstairs is the main living area with absolutely breathtaking views. There is a well appointed kitchen, a nice large table and a wood burning firplace, comfortable sofas/stereo/TV. WiFi worked well.
The owners have a parking space in garage but unfortunately this garage is not connected to the chalet. ! It is actually below the chalet so you take a lift up from the parking garage and then walk about 100m, slightly uphill to the chalet. The narrow snow covered path can prove difficult and a little treacherous especially at night and when carrying luggage, supplies. However, it is nice not to have to clean your car after a heavy snow fall!
Over all the chalet is very nice and extremely convenient for skiing and/or snow shoeing. We look forward to returning. One TIP... if you vacation in Ste. Foy during a busy UK holiday period, it is necessary to make dinner reservations ahead of time.
