Great hostel in a very central location in KL. The place is clean and well maintained, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it, especially for solo travellers.
The area around the hostel is not the most ideal in the evening, as some parts can feel quite dark and quiet at night.

the reception staff was so lovely and helpful ! the rooms were nice and spacious , and it had a roof top as well ! there was books to read and places to sit in a communal area , the room had a plug socket and wire which was good
area wasn’t so great but there is a train station close to get to and the malls are just a short walk , also there is a shop and pharmacy just behind so you can quickly grab stuff

Walkable location very close to Bukit Bintang. Women's dorm room and common area was clean, the air conditioning was powerful and a welcome reprieve from the Malaysian heat. Lockers provided above the bed was quite large, enough to store a medium backpack. Thick curtains for privacy, created a cosy little nook. Staff at reception were lovely and helpful.
Doesn't quite live up to the price point. Although the facilities are good enough for a night or so, it doesn't feel like a professional hostel, but rather like a small renovated floor with rooms turned into dorms. It's considerably smaller and more packed than the photos depict, with not too much space for luggage in the rooms and 6-8 bunks crammed against the walls. The stairs up to the hostel look nothing like in the photo either and I was not shown the rooftop access, might have been closed when I was there. Greeted by a mess of shoes that rather stink up the entrance.
This place is only a short 10 minute walk from the center of KL; despite that the area itself has a very seedy vibe. Located in a dirty back alley overrun with trash and doesn't feel very safe to walk to at night.
Some concerns for privacy/security: You have to walk through the whole common area to access the showers and toilets which are unisex/shared. I woke up early to catch a flight (around 5AM) to find the door to the female dorms was open/unlocked. There was also a random man asleep in the common area who woke up a few minutes after I saw him. I asked him if he was a staff member and said he was a guest, but I have no idea why a guest would be sleeping in the common area. It's possible there are innocent explanations for both things and he was civil with me and left shortly after. Still, the whole situation left me feeling really weird because of the opportunity for things to go wrong. I would caution solo female travellers for this reason.
Reception is not available 24/7; I met a guest who was stranded after hours and couldn't get help, so keep that in mind as well.
