This noble building is likely to have been built during the reign of Louis XVI, and in the XIXth century, it is the place where Victor Hugo’s printer had his printing workshop. The Space: The premises have a very unique historical feel, as this apartment used to be the workshop of printer P. Mouillot, one of Victor Hugo's main printers during his lifetime. At the time, the printing machines were sizeable and only fit in the kind of places with high ceilings. Victor Hugo himself must have climbed up the stairs to the apartment to discover his novels being printed. Important: No elevator in the building To get the keys of the apartment: - You will have to collect the keys in a secure box with a code inside the building - The code will be given to you before your arrival - The door to your apartment is on the first floor. The Neighborhood: The area is a vibrant and historical area of Paris, at walking distance from iconic landmarks (Louvre, Opera), and stunning gardens (Palais royal gardens, Tuileries gardens). You are also close to the Seine banks for a nice stroll. This is the ideal place to stay and enjoy everything that Paris has to offer : iconic streets and squares, lovely cafes, restaurants, bakeries and designer boutiques and luxury shops. Getting Around: 2 minutes : Line 7 & Line 14 : Station Pyramides Other Things to Note: Check-in / Arrival : from 4pm => From 2pm you can leave your luggage in the apartment. The apartment is being cleaned by our housekeeping team from 11am to 4pm. The apartment will be fully ready at 4pm. If you arrive early in Paris, we can indicate you a paid locker service next to the apartment. Check-out / Departure : until 11am. We appreciate your cooperation regarding: - Taking care of the apartment The apartment has been carefully designed to offer you a haven of peace in the heart of Paris. You are expected to take care of it and return it in the same condition. Upon your arrival, please report any problem immediately to our teams so that so that we can offer you the best solutions. We recommend you to take photos to identify any potential damage. After departure, the apartment will be inspected by our teams, and if no damage is identified, the security deposit will be released. - Respecting the House Rules Non-smoking zone: Smoking is prohibited inside the apartment or within the building premises. No outside people: Only people whose identity documents have been provided are granted access the apartment. No parties: Out of respect for our neighbors, we strictly prohibit parties or gatherings that may disturb the peace and tranquility of the community. Additionally, you are asked to respect quiet hours, between 9pm and 8am. No events or professional photo shoots: The apartment is intended for residential purposes only. Hosting events or gatherings that exceed the maximum occupancy of the apartment is strictly prohibited. Likewise, professional photo and video shootings are not authorized within our premises. In the event of non-compliance with one or more of these rules during your stay, we will be forced to terminate your stay in the apartment, and the security deposit will be kept. Additionally, please note that: In the event of loss of apartment keys, €170 will be charged. Cleaning is carried out only before each arrival and after each departure. In order to guarantee compliance with these rules: - You will be asked for photos of the identity documents of the people staying on site - A separate deposit of 2000 Euros on Swikly will be made and sent to you and needs to be validated at least 48 hours prior your arrival
