The homestay is conveniently located in the city, a short auto ride to the bus station and walkable to the excellent evening food market and some great breakfast restaurants. Savitha was very helpful in arranging an auto to visit the area (especially when things didn't go to plan) and providing advice and suggestions about what to visit. My room was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water for showers.
Not having my own transport I chose to stay in the city, but just be aware it is quite a distance from the beautiful scenery and coffee plantations and you will need to hire an auto/ scooter to visit if you don't have your own car. The homestay has a lot of birds which do make a lot of noise in the morning.

In the centre of the city, close to the bus stand and shopping and food areas. Nice, homely and cozy stay with all the essentials covered.
The lighting wasn’t great, window opened up to a terrace which was accessible to people.

The Room was very neat and exceptionally clean with all amenities provided including an attached RO Filter. Apart from the room, Savitha is an awesome host ready to help you with all queries and provide necessary information to guide you and plan your stay there even if you land up in Chikmagalur without any properly framed plans. She also gave time to time updates relating to road blocks and necessary permits required to go to peaks and also liaisoned with local auto/cab persons who are well behaved and charge reasonable rates. All in all, it was a great stay there and definitely she made a difference to the overall experience during the stay.
