While in the centre of the old town with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, the apartment is situated off a quiet cul de sac in a gated courtyard. Access is via a key code for the gate and then keys to the apartment itself, which is on the top floor of the building (no lift, but the stairs are wide and easy to navigate).
You enter the apartment to a boot and coat area, before going up another flight of internal stairs to the main area. The huge living space is divided by this staircase, with a fully equipped kitchen-diner on one side and the lounge area on the other. The two large bedrooms open off the main room, as does the huge bathroom.
The kitchen is fully fitted with all the usual cooking equipment and white goods needed, while the lounge has comfortable seating and a large flat screen tv. The bedroom we picked (both overlook the street) was very comfortable and had plenty of storage available for our week's stay. The bathroom contained both a bath and shower as well as a washing machine, and has luxurious underfloor heating!
Our hosts were excellent, providing very clear instruction for gaining access to the apartment. We also contacted them when we had difficulty figuring out how the heating worked. They replied immediately and had us sorted out within 30 minutes.
For longer stays, more kitchen utensils and tableware, and possibly a coffee maker, would be useful.
