About this house rental
Relax and enjoy the sounds of lapping waters just feet from the back deck at Picture Perfect! Our pet-free house is recently renovated and tastefully decorated with a coastal theme. Located in the town of Colonial Beach on "The Point" and Monroe Bay, we are just 5 blocks away on the other side of the peninsula and the beach areas. Monroe Bay has several marinas where you can dock your boat and enjoy our stunning sunset water views!

Ours was a girls' trip - think Golden Girls. The house was nicely decorated, with comfortable furnishings, and had all of the kitchen items one might need. The house was very clean, with storage for things we brought along: Each bedroom had luggage racks and space for clothing and hangers in every closet. We loved the deck and water views, and the visiting water fowl, which included an egret. The moon-rise over the lake each night, shining across the water was just beautiful! Reading previous reviews and seeing their pictures during our planning, we mistakenly thought that the view from the deck would be a sunset view. It isn't, but luckily, you just have to go up the street a short walk - or to a waterfront restaurant or bar - not far on the golf cart we rented - to view the sunsets. The ones we saw were spectacular.And the town of Colonial Beach is very welcoming, and reminded us of an earlier time, when life was unrushed and people were friendly, and there was personal service, not QR codes and impersonal, computer-based transactions for everything. We hadn't even left Colonial Beach before we agreed that we all want to return.Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It could have used measuring cups but we made due with measuring spoons. I would recommend fixing the toilet paper holder in the main bathroom; it kept falling downward and we finally just put the paper on the counter for our stay. The hot/cold water was not easily adjustable in the master bathroom; I switched to main bathroom but my sister got the master to work.
