The location and the view from the front patio. Helford village itself is wonderful.
Unfortunately, our stay at Well Too was significantly affected by a considerable kerosene oil leak from the property’s main oil tank situated close up to the rear of the house. Although the leak was repaired partway through our holiday, a strong kerosene smell remained for the rest of our seven-night stay. This meant we couldn’t open the rear windows without the smell entering the cottage and were unable to use the rear garden, which was one of the reasons we chose the property. No one from the management team came to check on the situation, and no money off our stay was made, despite the ongoing impact on our holiday which was communicated to the owner and management. While the cottage itself is in a lovely location, the persistent odour and loss of use of the outdoor space considerably reduced our enjoyment of what should have been a relaxing break.
