Namu Garden Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

What a place this is! The grounds are absolutely beautiful with lots of flowers and animals. The room was immaculate and everything we needed. We absolutely loved our private pool and spent lots of time relaxing there and on our deck. The room service at no extra cost was also an amazing touch! We used it excessively. The food is absolutely unreal! From breakfast to dinner we didn't have a dish we didn't like. The staff were amazing too, so friendly and helpful we never felt like a burden. I organised a private dinner for my wife and the staff did an amazing job of setting everything up for me :). Amazing place and perfect honeymoon location, we will remember it forever and will return someday! Thanks for everything Namu team.

A few things, but they don't take away from the 10/10 experience we had: - We wish the parasols were waterproof and bigger, obviously it rains alot, especially in rainy season when we were there, but if the parasols were waterproof we wouldn't need to run inside. - Same issue with the chair cushions, they soak in the water which takes an age to dry, maybe get some waterproof ones - We wished the sun loungers were adjustable, would have been nice to lay fully flat. My back was killing - Our pool wasn't cleaned as often as the others, it's like they forgot about it sometimes, I had to ask for it to be cleaned These are all very minor and I would encourage people to book!

Beautiful property…..nice rooms, comfortable beds, big shower, great pool area, yummy breakfast and AMAZING massage therapists!

Some of the policies to charge for lost towel card or stained towels seemed a little much for a high end property but perhaps they have had issues with this🤷‍♀️

Liked the architecture very nice, the rooms are spacious. Good kitchen space. I liked the fact that we had a steamer and a pool. It’s close to town but that road to go there if you are only girls at night would recommend to rent a car or take a uber. Alex and Engel were very helpful and tried their best to accommodate us. Overall it was a good stay. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. Good restaurant with quality products and pleasant bar and restaurant staff. Great to have access to room service and to guide us through recommendations. Great to have like a little library access at the reception. We didn’t receive the welcome coconut drink as we arrived very late and couldn’t get the full check in experience. However the next morning we did order it at the restaurant and we paid for it. Would have been nice to have it as complimentary not a big deal but makes a difference to guest experience.

The sauna is not cleaned daily had a bunch of hair for 3 days on the floor a little mold on some area of the wall of the pool. we did not have WiFi through out our whole stay in our room. We did have an electrical issue it was resolved under 3 hours, but a commercial gesture would have been nice in cases like this where you can’t shower and you have to stay in a hot room or you don’t have internet during your stay. our room did not have a proper living room it would have been nice to have a couch area. The wall art can be a bit more thought through nice but quite simple.

Beautiful rooms and excellent location

Very rude unfriendly staff. Supposedly a 5 star hotel but did not help with our bags on arrival and very unfriendly compared to the entirety of the rest of our Costa Rica trip where everybody was amazing! We’re not told about any of the services they had, eg. Spa or concierge/trip services. No hot water and electrical fault in our room overnight, so we had to move all of our stuff with no help and no apology. Sounds silly but if it was rated as a 4 star hotel it would have been fine. I think if this was the first place we had stayed we wouldn’t have minded so much, but the comparison was really stark. Breakfast is not good - order from a menu with no continental options and no ability to go and get your own drinks. Made it very difficult for me to even get a cup of tea.
