The property was relatively well equipped and the hosts provided some local treats and a bottle of fizz, which was a nice touch. It has two bathrooms, one en suite and a house bathroom, but it would be better if both contained a shower. The en-suite only has a bath.
The property also has a really good location, given that it is on the harbour and it has its own parking space, which is a real advantage when the town gets so busy.
Unfortunately we were told that balcony door could not be opened, and given that our visit fell during a heatwave, the lack of ability to sit out on the small terrace or better ventilate the flat was rather inconvenient. No amendment to the price was made either by way of an apology.
Furthermore, the property is now a little tired. The block gets noisy with lots of families, the floors creak rather a lot, and the mattresses are rather uncomfortable. There were several cups and plates in the cupboard that needed re-washing too.
If all you’re after is a bolt hole that’s close to the harbour and the beach then it’s a decent space.
