Had a great stay in Juneau. House is spacious and Kitchen is huge. View of the water was great after a day of fishing. Location cannot be beat. Can't wait to come back.

We had 3 couples celebrating their anniversaries in this beautiful house. The owner has done a lot of work to renovate the house. It looks beautiful! It is very spacious. Each couple had their own bathroom. The outside is great with 2 fire pits and lots of areas to relax to enjoy the beautiful view . Thanks for making our vacation so relaxing.

(Address hidden by Evolve) EVOLVE In July our family was faced with a tragedy. The State of Alaska Ferry System shut down. Our family of 8 were dependent on returning home but the ferry shut down prevented our family from traveling as a group as other travelers from the ferry prevented any reservations to other hotel/motels in Juneau. We were unable to find housing for a family of 8, when Ms. Rena Sims graciously opened the doors to their beautiful rent-a-home without any hesitation making our family feel welcomed. Imagine when we arrived at the home and found a beautiful house, 4 bedrooms and all the appliances. Television, internet, WIFI and furnishings we needed. There were even hammock swings on the deck outside and the home had a private beach on the Gastineau Channel. The patio, patio furniture and barbecue helped to enhance our time spent outside. Our one-week stay was unimaginable. We were extremely fortunate to pay a great price for housing as a group. For the family of 8 we found that Ms. Sims was more affordable than a hotel with all the privacy, amenities and a great view and fishing During the stay we were able to fish, hike, checked out the nearby glacier and many other wonderful activities. The adults of the family and the 2 children enjoyed the ability to watch television separately in our bedrooms. We were blessed with wonderful weather and a wonderful hostess. In fact, the setting was so beautiful and well-appointed we celebrated a wedding for our family member. Every possible accommodation was provided by Ms. Sims and her staff. The flowers growing outside, the ability to house all of us in one place and have all the necessary items needed for the wedding was amazing. We would highly recommend this rent-a-home to anyone even thinking about making their next vacation to Alaska. The hostess and the rest of the community were welcoming and provided our family with peace and the ability to solve our traveling issues and enjoying our stay. We were impressed that they are adding on to the house although no building was going on while we were present. We had to look through the window to sneak a peek as this was cordoned off. No building took place while we were present. We would like to return to witness the great enhancements they completed. Sincerely P Kathleen Cronin

I stayed there with a large group and for the most part everything was great! The good: Views, space and Beds, everyone loved the beds! The Bad: The Refrigerators ice machine, frozen solid, no fresh ice, there was a pan of ice in the freezer. It’s a Samsung, garbage, common knowledge. NO hand soap, no extra toilet paper, (we had to buy) some of the tvs didn’t work-no remotes or power cords. The obscure: Lots and lots and lots of cabinets! Tons of dishes, everywhere, a lot of it unusable, if you stay there you will understand. Lacked basic amenities which most other rental properties I’ve stayed at provide - Heat! There were space heaters but thankfully outside temps were warm enough it didn’t really matter. Personal sized toiletries, coffee. Overall it met our needs, we just had to make a few extra trips to Fred Meyer/Foodland.
