I've travelled across India and explored various resorts across the length and breadth of the country. The level of hospitality one finds at Niraamaya, Kannur, I must say, is unparalleled. We were here last week for my mom's birthday. We stayed here for four days. And we couldn't have found a better place for the occasion.
The property per se is pretty well kept and is a sprawling complex of boarding and recreational facilities. They also offer rejuvenation programmes administered by qualified doctors and have a dedicated spa as well as a wellness studio.
The best part of Niraamaya though is that right from the staff at the reception - Anuraj, Shamil, Sanya, Sourav, and Harishma and to the staff at the restaurant - Akshay, Bibin, Antony, Aneesha, and Francis, to the staff from housekeeping to the staff keeping the gate - their ONLY agenda seems to ensure one gets a smooth and a comfortable stay. The more one talks to the staff, the more one understands both how passionate they are in their chosen field and how well the management takes care of them.
In our case, for example, we hadn't even informed them earlier that we were coming here for an elderly person's birthday. But the moment the team got to know about it, they went above and beyond to ensure there was a flower decoration, there was a delicious payasam served as a surprise to us, etc.

Staff was a bit irresponsible. We requested house keeping dept in Morning to preparing our room which they didn't do even by evening.
