Ivan was very welcoming and kind. The 2 ladies who did breakfast were great. Showers were strong and hot water. The surroundings relaxing. A lovely place to stay.
We liked it all. It was a bit hairy to drive the narrow path to farm stay but other than that, no complaints.

What can I say, this place is a little taste of paradise tucked away in the hills 20 minutes from Monopoli. From the moment we arrived, at 9.30pm in the evening, we were greeted by our host Ivan and instantly made to feel welcome. He brought us homemade wine and drinks for the children and then offered food from his kitchen as he was so worried we may have been hungry after our long journey. Bearing in mind this is a bed and breakfast, this service was amazing and there was no extra charge. Ivan continued to be so hospitable throughout our stay (we were there for 6 nights). He let us use the kitchen to cook on a couple of evenings as it was sometimes difficult finding local gluten free options for our 10 year old daughter. He brought us drinks and fresh watermelon to the pool side when we were cooling off from the hot sun. He spent time talking to us, without being over bearing, and just wanted us to feel at home and comfortable. The setting was beautiful, set in the hills amongst the olive groves, it was slightly cooler at night due to the elevation, this was a relief from the extreme heat in the towns and cities and by the beach. It was a 10 to 20 minute drive to the nearest towns but we didn't mind that as the setting was so perfect. The village that the bed and breakfast is in has a small shop. The house is down a long drive and has pride of place at the end of the drive. The rooms are beautifully renovated, it really captures the rustic charm but with all the creature comforts. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very nicely done with plenty of towels and bathrobes for our stay. The room was air conditioned which was a relief from the heat at the end of a long day. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to set you up for the day. They catered for our coeliac daughter too with so much thought. The pool was so nice and set amongst the olive groves at the top of the property. The resident cats were a big hit too. Magnificent!
To us everything was perfect but if you want to be near the town (right near) then this property is a short drive from the towns.
