I loved being in Malinao, it’s a quiet place and still you are only 15 minutes from General Luna. If you rent a motorbike it’s perfect. The room was very clean. I’ve met very nice people from everywhere in the world. There were activities organized by volunteers so we can socialize all together. We went to activities together and it really helped to know each other. The staff was really helpful and nice and also the breakfast and the Indian restaurant just upstairs are both really tasty. You have free drinks during the afternoon (sodas, bears etc). Very glad I chose Bajala for my last days in Siargao.

The hotel is very beautiful and the common area too. Very picturesque. The restaurant upstairs has great food and staff is so nice. Near the beach they have a common relax area with hanging beds that are so beautiful too. The location is nice away from the action in the main area but just an easy 10 min tuktuk ride to get there. Our room was so beautiful, spacious and comfortable.
The have a very harsh stain policy so we had to pay 1.500 for a stain in the sheet. I imagine buying a new sheet costs way less than 1.500 pesos but I´m not sure. But we new when we entered that they had this stain policy so we should have been more careful anyways.

The bed was really comfortable, and the place had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I especially liked the amenities. you can cook your own meals, do your laundry, and they even have a movie room, which was a nice bonus. It felt more like a home than just a place to stay.
The only downside was that it was a little far from the main road, so getting around was slightly less convenient. But with the motorcycle rental and bicycles available, it was still manageable.
