A really interesting place to stay. Like sleeping in a museum almost. The building has been beautifully restored and renovated. There is art everywhere and all of the communal rooms are open for guests to explore. Also a great little games room. Breakfasts are also very good and there is an outside balcony you can sit on. Rooms are clean and with shutters blissfully dark. Close to Monsaraz - you can walk in 30min and also the near by lake beach.
This was our most expensive accommodation of a 2 week trip in Portugal yet the only place where you had to pay extra for the water or coffee pods supplied in the room which felt unnecessarily miserly.
Some additional outdoor space and/or a pool even if away from the main building would make this place almost perfect.

El lugar es un autentico lujo para desconectar y poder sumergirte en un viaje al pasado, el paraje no puede ser mas adecuado para dar rienda suelta a la imaginación. Los desayunos en la terraza son una maravilla, la atención del personal es de 10. Hay que volver!
Lo que menos me gusto, por poner algo. Fue el baño, que está un poco viejete, aunque muy limpio y bien conservado.
