Exploring Auckland
🏖️ Beaches you may enjoy visiting while visiting Auckland:
West Auckland Piha for the surf, and Muriwai which also has the gannets (which visit yearly).
Orewa has the cafes, walkways & swimming beach over the road; Takapuna and all other North Shore Bays are worth exploring as most are safe and swimmable with cafes and beach next to each other, plus walkways.
Devonport which is a more historical village with a Naval Base is a North Shore destination also where you can catch the Ferry across and explore on foot with plenty swimming beaches. You can catch the ferry from Britomart/Central Auckland Ferry Terminal. The Ferry also goes to Waiheke Island. This is highly recommended by other guests, if you have time to explore, and visit some of the vineyards and have lunch - we suggest joining a local tour.
