Beautiful hotel in a stunning location

Beautifully presented, clean and oozing character. Staff were so friendly especially Natalie and Amanda and they were all so professional. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. Room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. Beautiful location.

Hotel is dog friendly but it’s not clear that there are areas you can eat without dogs this needs to be signposted more clearly

Good hotel

Great location rooms were clean and tidy , great breakfast loved the ringtons tea and coffee in rooms and staff were very friendly

The room we had was facing another wall / window which was fine except no blind or net so had to dress and keep curtains closed for privacy theirs could easily be addressed

Lovely stay at The Tynemouth Castle Inn

Room and facilities were very good. Very nice bar and restaurant, it felt very welcoming and the staff were excellent.

Would have liked some bottles of drinking water in the rooms. A better selection of vegetarian meals on the menu would be good.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Will definitely stay again!

Hotel situated in a lovely location with sea views and rooms were all well fitted and very comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nice touch with the free drink if you are only staying for a few days and don’t need the room cleaned!

My only real criticism is if you park at the front of the hotel you have to walk to the other side of the bar to check in and this is not sign posted. If staying park at the rear where it is more accessible. Only one lift which is through a few doors and I am not aware of any rooms on the lower floor so unsure what options are available for people with accessibility needs.

Excellent hotel in a great location.

This is my second time at this hotel and this visit was as good as my first. The location is great with the beach across the road and accessible restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The beds are so comfortable. There was an issue with my room and this was dealt with promptly and I was moved rooms. This is excellent customer care and I want to thank the staff member that dealt with this. I will return to stay.

WOW, amazing place to stay, loved it ❤️

Amazing Location, Amazing Rooms, Amazing staff and Amazing Building!. Pet friendly also!. Highly recommended 👌 and the cooked breakfast is also Amazing!!

Waited almost 45 minutes to check in - rude staff not just on check in the same staff member rude into the day after - d

On stepping inside full of dogs & reserved tables which is fine but turning up at 12 to just have drinks & unable to sit at tables as were reserved for 3pm

Nice stay

Room was clean & complimentary ringtones tea and coffee

No staff to check in all on a self serve basis. Rooms not very well sign posted. Food and drink are expensive. Room was next to stairs and a door which was noisy most of the night. We only got one key so when partner went out to have a cigarette everything in the room went off. Unclear how to get 2 cards. Same to check out all self service

Uncomfortable

All newly refurbished, lovely and clean.

The pillows were so uncomfortable we both had a terrible nights sleep and left with neck ache! They had spare pillows in the rooms but they were just the same. No staff at reception to discuss. We wouldn’t go back as we paid over £300 for a terrible nights sleep!

Lovely hotel and bar. Would definitely recommend!

Really nice friendly atmosphere - very homely and warm

Breakfast wasn’t out on time at 7am and I had an early start - was waiting on eggs for ages as not been cooked yet. Bit frustrating when wanting to enjoy full English breakfast and not all ingredients are there.

Lovely new hotel, but not for me.

All new and clean. Amazingly huge bar and restaurant.

My room, a single appeared to be over the kitchens. A door below was closing loudly and shaking the room from check-in till after 11pm and started again at 6am. It really affected sleep. There is not a check in desk for the hotel, it's a poorly signed screen/till at one end of the bar. I passed it three times before asking and being told it was the check in 'area'.

Good value for money pleaant stay lovely staff

Staff helpful and pleasant, ,room with unexpected sea view, Nice to see dogs allowed, good menu in restaurant toaster only needed 1 go through at breakfast.

Just a little too far to walk to town for some people.

Avoid in the summer you'll cook in the room its that hot

The breakfast was nice

Room far to hot no fan really noisy no reception area, staff not helpful Seaview was questionable no chocolates in room as promised, bed uncomfortable pillows rock hard creaky floor above us absolutely no sleep never been so uncomfortable in a hotel

Great location for a weekend away

Bar/restaurant are lovely and the food was good. Hotels location is perfect to walk in to Tynemouth or Whitley Bay, and you're right on the beach. Staff were great. Dog friendly which is a bonus so we could take our pup!

The only thing I can say is that the room we had was right beside a train line that was really noisy, but it was a dog friendly room so pros and cons!

Recently renovated, modern and very comfortable

Newly renovated, the place is immaculate. Great room, comfortable bed. Food menu excellent. Will definitely use again when back up in that area

Lovely modern property - everything crisp and clean

Didn’t have anyone on reception 24 hours although the night manager did have a mobile number No bath towels left on our final day and we didn’t return to room late Unable to have shower the next day!!!

Great food in restaurant and beautiful building by the sea.

We dined in restaurant in a very large group. Good food and fantastic service. They made the night really great.

Breakfast was a nightmare Electric charges would be good!

Lovely hotel! Brilliant staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was lovely! Everything was so new and clean. The staff were brilliant. We really enjoyed our experience.

The checkout is very early. It is at 10:30am. I think the hotel should change this to 12:00pm. More gluten free options for breakfast.

Enjoyed our stay but definite room for improvements.

Spacious room and nicely decorated. Great sea view with balcony. Free parking . Lovely bathroom with double shower

Check in at the bar area rather than separate reception is too crowded with people’s luggage. Staff not always available at reception because they’re serving at bar. Someone’s underwear left on floor in bedroom when we checked in. Breakfast ending at 9.30 is too early on a weekend. Plates weren’t warm and food was only warm - not hot. Decor in bar is not in keeping with art deco building - all very dark, 90s style not appealing. Prices too high for drinks and food. Not even asked if we’d enjoyed our stay at checkout.

Beautiful hotel but needs to be ran better

Beautiful hotel, great view (sea view), nice food and drinks, quick service on night time. Check in and check out quick. Room was small but very clean.

Told to leave our seats between starter and main, said they forgot to reserve it. Not reserved for people but for the band playing at 9pm, we got moved at 4pm. Weren’t prepared to find us a table until we asked for it. Ran out of coffee and plates at breakfast and lots of staff just talking. Helpful if asked but shouldn’t have to ask for these things. Made to feel like an inconvenience when we spent a lot of money there on the night time and to stay.

Great new hotel with everything you need.

Great new hotel with everything you need in a beautiful location. The staff right through from check in to breakfast were excellent and instantly make you feel welcome. Only a quick walk from Tynemouth metro station and right above the beach. Really nice bar and restaurant area.
