Beautiful quiet location with super attentive staff. Lovely design overall.
Our room was very small with a small double bed. We were the only guests at the time and were told it would cost 5000 LKR to upgrade to a bigger room which, with hindsight isn’t a lot.

Man befindet sich hier fernab jeder Stadt und dadurch ist es unglaublich ruhig. Am Abend kann man die Geräusche des Waldes genießen und sogar Glühwürmchen sehen. Das Haus, das wir für uns alleine hatten, ist sehr schön dekoriert und liebevoll eingerichtet. Unser Host war überaus zuvorkommend und sehr bemüht unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Essen war immer sehr lecker. Man bekommt Frühstück, Mittag und auch Abendessen in der Küche im Haus serviert, was sich wirklich nach Luxus anfühlte. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

There was a lot of space and communal areas to enjoy indoors and outside which were comfortable and attractive. Sitting outside and listening to the birdsong in the canopy above was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to have a sofa in our room. Also there was a good supply of hot water. The manager was very warm, friendly and would help with anything.
Tranquilisle is a fairly short walk from Galaha ,the closest small town with access to public transport.
It rained a lot during our stay and it was hard to manage the damp in our bedroom and bathroom.
The menu was not so typical of the Sri Lankan food we had in other places and rather lacking in vegetables. Maybe it was characteristic of this area but I didn’t enjoy it as much as food encountered elsewhere.
