The apartment was very tidy, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Its location is excellent, with plenty of great restaurants nearby for breakfast, brunch, or dinner, as well as supermarkets if you prefer to cook for yourself.
The balcony with a sea view is a true little oasis—perfect for breakfast or a peaceful morning coffee.
A major advantage is the private garage parking space, with elevator access directly from the garage to the apartment.
Communication throughout our stay was smooth and well organised. The only minor issue was some initial confusion regarding the booking confirmation and payment process: Booking.com declined our debit card because of the 3D Secure verification, so, following the host’s instructions, we completed the payment through the Holidu website instead.
Overall, we would warmly recommend this accommodation, especially for up to four guests.
The only minor drawbacks were the size of the mattress and the comfort of the pillows. It would be much better if the double bed were at least 180 × 200 cm and the pillows were softer.
Air conditioning would also be a welcome addition, although the apartment cools down quickly when all the windows are opened.

The location was perfect, supermarket/shops right beside the apartment, a car parking space in the basement and places to swim within a 15min walk. The sea view from the balcony was wonderful and the kitchen was very clean and nice to cook in. The bed was quite comfortable too. Very easy access to the main driving routes for exploring the island and a cheap Uber into the centre of Funchal. Lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity too. The local area was very safe and quiet. Check in and check out was very straightforward and the host was available on WhatsApp if needed. Remember to collect the car park key from the lockbox on the street before trying to drive in.
The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. No air conditioning.
