The front desk staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They greeted us very warmly every time we passed by, and they gave us true Madeiran hospitality. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. I like the fresh design of the space. The room was incredibly relaxing to come home to after the end of a long day.
The Porto Moniz pools right on the ocean were incredible, and it was a highlight of the trip to have this available to us.
My partner and I enjoyed staying in a quieter part of the island with much less traffic than Funchal, and we would definitely stay here again.

Good location in Porto Moniz.
Our room (101) was very big and super clean.
The shower is huuuuge.
Super comfy beds and nice little balcony.
We appreciated the possibility of getting a free entrance ticket for the natural pools, the free parking and the quiet rooftop!
Breakfast was nice (except the sweet part), and the terrace where it’s served has an amazing ocean view.
The pillows were a bit too soft and low for me, and the check-in process was a little longer and more cumbersome than expected.
The overall price/quality ratio is slightly too high but accepted in such a touristy place like Porto Moniz.

We stayed here during our 25th anniversary vacation. Francisco and staff were absolutely amazing. Our room was made up with swans made out of towels and flower petals. We returned to our room with champagne bottle which we enjoyed in the rooftop jacuzzi. Exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Room was spacious and well equipped. Room servicing was very good. Resort is really nice with stunning views all around. Porto Moniz is a lovely resort and combines stunning natural geological features with tasteful developments. The man-made sea water pools and sunbathing terraces provide safe swimming and relaxation directly alongside (and juxtaposed with) the rugged volcanic rocks and harsh Atlantic waves - an architectural triumph.
The complex uses a shared dining facility for breakfast, evening meals and a serves as a pub/eatery for residents and non-residents. Access to the facility each morning for breakfast meant traversing through live construction works. Service in this facility was very poor. Staff were not very friendly and didn't seem too willing to provide any kind of service. Availability of evening meal venues was generally poor throughout the resort. E.g. Porto Moniz has a lovely restaurant called Chocolat. Food is good and the building is stunning, with sea views all around. Problem is it doesn't open in the evenings.
