Good location for walking into town, property was very clean and inside had everything you need for a comfortable stay

NO WORKING PRIVATE POOL!! We chose this property specifically for its private pool, but we were informed just three days before our trip that it was unavailable due to damage from previous guests. Because the full payment had already been collected weeks prior and time was so short, we were unable to find an alternative property. While we understand that unexpected issues happen, the daily rate explicitly included pool access, and we felt it was reasonable to request a small, partial refund for losing such a major amenity. Unfortunately, the host ignored our request, and Booking.com was unable to resolve the issue with them. Upon checking other reviews, we noticed the last two guests before us also reported the pool was out of action, which makes us question how long this issue has been ongoing.
