I liked the location, how quiet it was when the neighbour’s kid wasn’t screaming. The size of the property and facilities was also good.
20minutes walk to the shop was ok too.
The eating area outside, with the TV and outside fridge was great, as well as an outside toilet!
Host welcomed us and apologised immediately about the pool, as it was green. He advised the pool’s PH dropped and he brought stuff to remediate it. He assured us the pool was safe to use, which we did, however it got worse everyday. The owner assured us everyday the readings were safe and nothing else he could do, but I feel this was poor, especially since we couldn’t even get in it on our last full day and the hottest day! This was very disappointing, especially since we complained everyday about it. The host replied to messages, but we haven’t seen him since the first day… which again seemed poor given our constant contact with him.
The Vila was generally clean, but there’s always room for improvement. Spider webs , dust, again accepted due to the fact it was a house in the country side.
Due to the swimming pool situation, our family left a day sooner . We asked the owner for a partial refund , but because we booked through booking.com he advised this couldn’t be done.
We were also disappointed we couldn’t pay online and we were asked to pay in cash. The owner understood the concern with our inability to withdraw the full amount in one go and offered a bank transfer, still not an option that we liked to do.

Spacious, modern, more than enough rooms, well equipped kitchen, owner responded promptly to any issues.
Temperature inside was too hot and there was no good way to adjust it. We had some electrical issues, the showers didn't drain properly and at one point there was not enough hot water for everyone. The owner tried to fix all these issues, however it still affected the enjoyment of our vacation.
