The apartment was ideally located within walking distance of the beach, shopping complex, and restaurants. The beach offered several interactive activities that our children thoroughly enjoyed—especially the water fountains
The apartment is understandably geared for Eastern style cooking. The owner kindly bought extra knives and forks for us. We bought basic cooking utensils.
We had concerns regarding fire safety and maintenance. During our two-week stay, there were two fire alarms, one occurring at 2:30am. A resident mentioned this is a frequent issue. As a former fire marshal, I was alarmed by the lack of response—no staff were present at reception, and no fire marshal was available to confirm safety. One message in English was given advising to standby for further instructions. No further messages were given to advise it was a false alarm. This raises serious concerns should an actual emergency occur.
Additionally, the apartment showed signs of poor maintenance. Dampness was visible on internal shower walls. Peeling paint and black mould, particularly on the shower blind, were noticeable and concerning.

Kitchen equipment is understandably geared for Eastern style cooking. There were chopsticks, spoons, bowls and pots. We were unprepared. The owner provided us with a few new knives and forks. We bought additional basic cooking utensils.
