Pink House Skye

The location overlooking the warf was great. 3 restaurants right beside the unit.

The parking is basically non-existent. We had to park at the town square and walk 3 blocks to the house. There was no mini fridge in the room. It was a bit confusing to find the correct entry door.

I was having a little bit of anxiety about my booking at the Pink House, as I thought it was a traditional hotel! It's a room with standard amenities and you are given a CODE, which opens the lock box by the door to open your room. It's on a retractable cord and actually worked out just fine! Anxiety for nothing. If something were to go awry, you could contact a property near by with personnel. I was very surprise with the size of the room, the comfort of the bed and bathroom. Once again, some anxiety about some poor reviews about the shower....it was fine. It's electrically heated and the water pressure and temperature was fine. I stayed there one night, and it's the iconic literal Pink House you see in stock photos of Portree. I would not hesitate to stay there again! Restaurants along the harbor are convenient and a short walk up the hill brings you to the center Somersled Square. In my room there was table and chairs right in front of the room with a large window overlooking the harbor. There are not elevators, just stairs, and being not staffed you are on your own to handle your own bags.

Nothing, for a one night stay it was fine. I went in mid-August, which is peak tourist season in Scotland. It was a cheaper option than other properties in Portree.

Pink House Skye is in a great location! Though there is no parking lot, we found parking out front every night. The view is amazing, as it looks out onto the boats and water. The restaurant, Lower Deck, is awesome and just a few doors down.
