We had an excellent 9-night stay at La Selvarella and would happily recommend it to others.
From the moment we arrived, Alessia gave us a warm welcome and made us feel comfortable. She speaks English very well, which made communication easy throughout our stay. She also checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was going well, while fully respecting our privacy.
The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts: a bottle of chilled water, a bottle of white wine in the refrigerator, and delicious Italian cookies on the table. These small touches were a great start to our holiday.
The kitchen and living area were excellent and became the place where we prepared many of our breakfasts, lunches, and dinners using fresh Italian ingredients from local shops. The bathroom was practical, the bedroom was a good size, and having a Smart TV in both the living room and the bedroom was a nice bonus. The Wi-Fi was fast, stable, and reliable throughout our stay.
The property offers beautiful views of the medieval town of Montecchio and the surrounding Umbrian countryside. The pool area is very nice, the gardens and outdoor areas are exceptionally well maintained, and the entire property is quiet and peaceful.
During our stay, we also bought some of the excellent olive oil produced by the property. As a farewell gift, Alessia unexpectedly presented us with two small cans of their olive oil, which was a very thoughtful gesture and much appreciated.
Our only minor comment concerns the bed. It was a little too springy and slightly too small for us (I am 197 cm tall and my partner is 180 cm). Then again, this is Italy and not the Netherlands, so we can certainly smile about that. 😅

We voelden ons erg welkom. De eigenaresse doet er alles aan om het verblijf comfortabel te maken en geeft allerlei tips. Niets is teveel. Met alle vragen kun je daar terecht.
Bij aankomst stond er een flesje wijn voor ons klaar en iets lekkers. De familie zorgt erg goed voor het complex en houdt alles keurig schoon. Je hebt er veel privacy. Ze produceren zelf 100 % biologische olijfolie van hun bomen en het is mogelijk om hier wat te kopen. Dat hebben we dus ook gedaan. Het zwembad is heerlijk en je hebt vanaf daar een spectaculair uitzicht met een prachtige zonsondergang. Het appartement is rustiek ingericht maar mooi schoon. Het dorpje ligt op 10 minuten loopafstand voor de boodschappen, wel een pittige klim. Er zijn genoeg bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving.
Misschien is het Italiaans maar de waterdruk is erg laag waardoor er een klein straaltje uit de douchekop komt. Af en toe ruikt het buiten naar rioollucht. De keuken is minimaal ingericht waardoor het goed kunnen koken moeizaam gaat. De airco hangt alleen in de woonkamer en niet in de slaapkamer. Het appartement is wel gehorig, we konden onze buurman horen snurken.
Maar het is ook hoe je ermee omgaat, wij hebben een fijne vakantie gehad!
