The hotel has sufficient free parking on site, and a short drive from Wuppertal and its famous schwebebahn.
Don’t bother with the hotel breakfast there’s a McDonald’s two minutes up the road !
Using the automated check-in machine, the check-in process charged me twice and it took two weeks to get the refund of the additional charge back

The location isn't bad at all, not too far from the A46 Autobahn and about 6KM from the city centre. Pretty safe surroundings too, as the manager told us that "nothing ever happens here". A restaurant, a supermarket and a gas station are just around the corner. The road is a busy one and especially early in the morning there is lots of traffic which is noticeable in the rooms on the front side of the hotel, but still not as bad as in many other locations in and around the city. With the window closed, one hears almost nothing. Lots of good, free and monitored parking available. For the rest, as one can expect from an IBIS hotel, the rooms are small and spartan but efficient and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are clean. Perfect for one or two nights just to sleep, even with a family. Quite centrally located for its surroundings and a very good alternative to many of the much more expensive places in and around Wuppertal.
Inbetween the three of us we only had two pillows and as the reception is closed and unmanned after 22:00 hrs, there was no way of having this resolved coming back after dinner. Also the shower did not seem to be very clean as dirt could be seen and it was stinking a bit. But perhaps that's just in room 204.

The room was comfortable and quiet, and the free WiFi worked well throughout my stay. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and the hotel was generally clean when I arrived
Housekeeping only cleaned my room once during my six-night stay. Toilet paper was not replenished, and I had to request it myself from the reception. The reception staff were polite but not particularly welcoming or proactive. The hotel's location was also not very convenient for my daily travel to the university, requiring multiple public transport connections.
