Discover this charming Provençal stone house with its lovely swimming pool and enclosed garden. This beautiful, air-conditioned house is situated in the heart of the vineyards in the countryside around the lovely village of Tavel in the Gard, just 20 minutes from Avignon and Orange. It features two bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a toilet. The living room has a sofa bed for two further guests. Please note that the owners, who live next door and with whom you will share the swimming pool, already have two dogs. You’ll have the great pleasure of enjoying the lovely garden with its trees and flowers, a private area for your evening meals, and the large swimming pool for cooling off and relaxing (complete with a rowing machine). Children can have fun in the playhouse. You’ll be enchanted by this pretty village set amidst famous vineyards, where a Côtes du Rhône wine in shades ranging from pale pink to copper is produced – one of the finest rosé wines in the world! The Cave de Tavel has been awarded the ‘Heritage of the 20th Century’ label and is well worth a visit, as it is also a listed building. Every Tuesday morning, Tavel hosts a Provençal market where you can discover delicious regional produce (wines, cold cuts, poultry, cheese, honey, fruit). Nearby lies Avignon, with its magnificent Papal Palace. Also worth a visit are the Pont du Gard and the town of Orange, 20 km away – the world’s largest Roman aqueduct, spanning the pretty River Gardon. Uzès, 27 km away, is a lovely medieval town with a beautiful castle and a confectionery museum. This beautiful region of the Gard also offers activities such as walking, mountain biking and climbing. Please note: The owners only use the pool when guests are not present.
