I loved the area and the vibe, I'm definately coming back.

If each room could have an Iron, that was the only thing missing at the time of looking for it in the communal area.

I was charged for cleaning services but room was dirty

Unacceptable second stay – severe cleanliness problems and poor management response.

Our second stay at Obs Loft Apartments on 29 June 2026 was completely unacceptable. Within the first hour in Apartment 1, we found multiple cockroaches, grimy surfaces, and windows so dirty you could barely see through them. These issues clearly indicated that the unit had not been properly cleaned. Despite several calls, we were repeatedly told the matter was being “escalated,” yet no manager ever contacted us. After submitting photos to Booking.com, we were moved to Apartment 6, which had similar cleanliness problems. Booking.com attempted to arrange a refund or relocation, but the accommodation manager refused, leaving us to stay in substandard conditions. A cleaner later arrived to “dust and sweep,” but the apartment required a full deep clean — especially concerning given the additional R625 cleaning fee. Booking.com issued a small credit (about R190), but the accommodation itself did nothing to resolve the core issues. This review reflects our personal experience and photographic evidence. The current standards of cleanliness and management responsiveness fall far below what guests should reasonably expect.

The location is okay. The taxis were able to locate the place easily and it was just a few minutes drive to the place we were holding meetings. The water for bathing and washing dishes was always warm/hot enough. The wifi worked perfectly all the time

I did not like the noise from the street maybe because the room i was in facing right into the street. A few roaches seen around, please put in more effort to eradicate them though it is not an easy task.
