SHAYA cottage

This property is perfect! The rooms are funky and comfortable and clean. We felt at home and relaxed immediately. The pool and beach is lovely and the restaurant was some of the best food we have had since arriving. The property has their own boat to go on a full day snorkelling trip and this was wonderful! The guide is lovely and the turtles, puffer fish and coral were incredible! Lastly the staff are so kind and friendly. We can’t wait to go back!

We loved everything about our stay here back in August! The owner Jeff, his lovely partner, the manager Adi and all the other staff were wonderful. Staying at Shaya is like staying in an amazing piece of art by the beach. So much creativity has gone into the place with sooooo much attention to detail. We really loved our stay here and even lingered for a few more hours in the restaurant after we checked out as we didn't feel like leaving! The snorkelling trip is AMAZING as well! Wadi is a total legend and will find you all the most incredible spots to see stunning coral, turtles, seahorses and so many fish. He also has a very kind heart. Thank you so much for having us! A nice eco beachresort with easy access to the secret Gillis. They arranged a snorkel boattour for us with their own boat. It was amazing we saw different spots with beautiful vivid coral and a lot of Colorful fishes, turtles and seahorses. The admosphere is relaxed and the staff is helpful and really kind.

La atención de los empleados es excelente, desde los que están en el alojamiento al capitán del bote que cogimos para la excursión de snorkelling que estuvo genial, lo mejor de la zona. Comida buena.

Cosas necesarias a saber si te alojas en este lugar: -Se encuentra ubicado al lado de la carretera general y a pesar de las disculpas del dueño, es extremadamente ruidoso por el paso continuo de coches y motos, el descanso no es ideal. -La playa NO es apta para el baño, poca profundidad, orilla fangosa y sucia, cerca de la desembocadura de ríos. -El diseño de las cabañas es rústico y curioso pero hace que dentro de las mismas el ruido se amplifique, la luz natural entra todo el tiempo y en una de ellas el tejado es compartido con la habitación de al lado por lo que se oye TODO. -El jardín está algo abandonado, incluyendo los restos quemados de alguna cabaña anterior y ahí siguen.... -No hay restaurantes cerca por lo que a menos que cojas taxi/bote y te vayas a otro lugar, tendrías que comer en el alojamiento. -Los dueños estuvieron durante nuestra estancia en el complejo y durante las 3 noches que estuvimos, tuvieron largas sobremesas/charlas hasta las 23:30, cómo dije anteriormente en la habitación se oye TODO. -Nuestra habitación era la que estaba justo al lado del restaurante y el hidrocompresor del agua, por lo que el ruido es "permanente". -Tener en cuenta que dadas las características de las cabañas.... te encuentras insectos.... -Después de haber leído las respuestas del dueño a anteriores criticas de otros clientes me espero una respuesta similar, creo que somos educados y de mente bastante abierta pero en esta ocasión, describir la realidad del alojamiento lo merece.
