A fantastic stopover on my way to Mestia by bike. The family were very kind, friendly and helpful and the home cooking was superb!

If you're looking for a place to stay in the Caucasus mountains, in a sweet little village in Svaneti – this is the one.
It’s more than just a guesthouse – it’s a true homestay, full of warmth, kindness, and genuine care.
Already in the morning of our booking, the host reached out to ask when we would arrive and helped us with directions so we wouldn't get lost. She also asked in advance about our preferences for dinner and breakfast, so she could prepare accordingly – and let me tell you, the dinner was absolutely dreamy, simple and delicious, made with love and attention to our tastes.
When we arrived in the village, the family welcomed us, took our heavy bags to help us (we came with bicycles), and did it all with a smile.
Their son is such a sweet guy – he even offered to drive us to down ro village to buy water, but we ended up walking there on a beautiful 10-minute path with stairs, following his lovely directions.
The view from their balcony is stunning, with peaceful mountains and the river all around.
Highly, highly recommended.

Das Gästehaus liegt nicht direkt an der Hauptstraße, man muss noch eine steile unasphaltierte Straße einen Hang hoch fahren. Der Blick in die umliegende Landschaft ist dafür sehr schön. Wir durften im Schlafzimmer der Eigentümer schlafen, alle Schränke waren noch mit Kleidung voll, Schmuck und Kosmetik lag rum. Das war jetzt nicht so toll. Frühstück muss extra bezahlt werden. 20 GEL pro Person.
Es gibt auch nur einen Waschraum mit Dusche und Toilette, den aber alle Gäste benutzen. Als wir da waren, war noch eine Gruppe Männer dort. Der Waschraum war ständig besetzt. Die Toilette wurde auch gefühlt schon 100 Jahre nicht mehr gereinigt, alles war süffig und wir zwei Frauen haben es daher vermieden, uns dort zu waschen.
