Bugs and noise in open air dorm - I would not stay again

Overall setup with the garden looked cozy

Note that my review is specifically for the open air dorm with mattresses on the floors. At the time when I made the booking there were no reviews specific to that room type, and it seems people enjoyed the other types of rooms much more. When it said "dorm" at the time of booking, I didn't know the room would be in an open air loft and expected a room(!) with bunk beds. The open air setup created a few problems: -BUGS. Not just bugs flying around which they provided insect repellent lotion for, but bugs on the mattresses, on the beds. You brush them away, new ones come. On and on. They looked mostly like flying ants, but not only. I really don't want to sit or sleep on the bed with bugs crawling around me, and there didnt seem to be a good solution. The staff said the bugs would go away after we turn off the light (and there were less of them then), but still far too many for my comfort -Noise. Because of open air setup, every sound is audible - chats, karaoke from some place nearby, some other guests playing their own music in the garden. There was no way to shut it out and earplugs weren't enough. I had to go and ask people to be quiet or stop their music several times -There was only 1 bathroom+toilet (joint facility), seemingly for all guests in dorms+ those staying in tents (of which there were plenty). This is really not enough, and made for many queues It ended up one of the worst-sleep nights in more than a year of travelling...

I am so blessed to have discovered siquijor and Edmund inn an will definitely return

Staff are all so exceptionality friendly and the accommodation while unique was very comfortable

The staff were helpful and friendly. I booked a room but seems I booked a loft with a staircase that was like a ladder.

The garden is beautiful.

No hot water and far from town and stores.

Great staff and good place for a short stay!

I wanted to check-in very early since I was travelling for a very long time. One of the staff members understood my struggles and made my bed despite the early hours! The facility is truly beautiful and there’s everything one could need (including motorbike rental).

Lack of free water and one shower/toilet for all dormitories.

El personal era muy amable, tienen habitaciones pero yo me quedé en una tienda de campaña, la verdad muy bien, limpia y comoda. Me ayudaron con todo lo que necesitaba.

周边食饭比较少！需要摩托车或步行去镇上找

Beautiful property, lovely people, super comfy room

Wonderful staff, lovely garden and very comfy bed in unique beautiful boutique room. Coffee and tea in room, wifi and connections.

No hot water which is fine during the day but if you arrive late like I did it would have been nice, its a little way up the main road from the town

Enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The location is just few minutes from the Port and Candanay Sur Beach. The room is neat and the straff are very friendly and accommodating.

Einfache Unterkunft mit Garten

Das Grundstück besticht durch seine Gestaltung von Pflanzen und Objekten, sowie den Hütten und einem kleinen Pool. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich!

Die Vorstellung, was uns erwartet hatte nichts mit dem realen Erlebnis zu tun. Wir waren enttäuscht! Kein warmes Wasser zum duschen, schwaches Wifi, holprige Zufahrt, etc. Eine Gruppe Jugendlicher hat sich im Garten laut unterhalten. Um 1.15 Uhr in der Nacht hatte meine Geduld ein Ende und ich wollte endlich schlafen! So ging ich nach draussen und habe sie gebeten ruhig zu sein. Der nahegelegene Beach (ca. 15min. zu Fuss) war schmutzig und nicht einladend.

had a wonderful stay..

Highly recommended! The facilities are more than what you expect as an Inn situated in an island. Internet connection is free, so working online while on vacation is possible. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. The room is clean. Hope to stay again in the future.

Location wise, it is situated near town area and the staffs were accomodating and helpful.

There were occasional brown outs and water supply disruptions. Which out of the facility's control.
