The location was great for exploring the Lake District. Having access to a swimming pool was lovely, and the duplex itself was warm, cosy and comfortable.
Overall, we had a comfortable stay and Whitbarrow Village is in a great location for exploring Cumbria.
The signage around the site could definitely be improved. On arrival, it wasn't clear where to park for unloading, and we only discovered by chance that a rather hidden staircase led up to the bar and restaurant. The bar and restaurant also never seemed to be open during our stay, despite the advertised opening times suggesting otherwise.
The swimming pool is great, although the jacuzzi area was being refurbished. This is completely understandable, but it would have been helpful to have been informed before arrival. Reception staff were helpful when needed, although not particularly warm or welcoming.
Our duplex was comfortable and a good base for the week. A few small things would improve it, such as providing wine glasses, more kitchen sockets and a better selection of pans suitable for the induction hob. The shower screen could also do with a seal along the bottom, as water tends to escape onto the bathroom floor.
Despite these relatively minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. It's comfortable accommodation in a lovely location and very well placed for exploring the Lake District and wider Cumbria.

Relaxing location, great accommodation with good facilities. Loved that the property was based in a hotel with facilities you could use, however the apartment made you feel very cozy and private. The restaurant food was amazing and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Comfortable, clean. Welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. Toiletries provided, although a little small for a 5 night stay for 2. Good size car park. Wi fi worked really well.
Unable to open balcony door during the day due to flies coming in. Suggest a fly screen of some sort. Induction hob, but some of the pans didn't work on it.

Updated facilities from last visit. Bed is lovely and comfy. Amazing views from all windows. Love having the extra facilities such as the swimming pool and gym. Third time staying here and continues to live up to expectations.
