Such a cool, historic home with beautiful gardens and hosts! We immediately noticed wonderful personal touches: fresh flowers on the table, fresh fruit, bread, eggs, and milk in the kitchen. It was a lovely stay. The stable is behind/adjoined to the hosts' primary dwelling, and the driveway/parking is a little tight but doable! A blend of modern facilities and historic character works surprisingly well. Probably my own fault, but note that even the lower level of the barn (with the kitchen, bathroom, living space and main bedroom) is still upstairs. I was travelling with my 84-year-old grandmother, and although we certainly enjoyed our stay, I may have booked elsewhere if I'd realised there were stairs, regardless of whether you have a main floor or an upstairs bedroom.
The gardens on the property were beautiful!!! 11/10
Chris gave us great local pointers on where to visit, and Hilary has put lots of time into collating the property's history into a very interesting folder (a must-read if you stay!). The property is very eco-friendly too, which is refreshing!

Love the vintage feel and decor. Off street parking. Appreciated the electric blankets on the beds! Breakfast items were a nice touch and unexpected, thanks.
Stayed in winter. Didn’t realise there were steps to access the main area, not shown in photos, cold living area and main bedroom, maybe a convection heater for the bedroom would be beneficial, loft bedroom gets really hot with the temp you have to have the wall heater on to get any warmth downstairs. Fan not working in the toilet.
