We booked at the very last minute and consider ourselves lucky to have found this place!
The apartment itself is very spacious, bright and airy, and impeccably clean. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with everything you could need. The bedrooms also have fans, which became very handy during the hot weather.
The views are fantastic and genuinely therapeutic.
And the host is a star! So helpful, kind and incredibly quick to respond. It was such a touching act of kindness that she had prepared a few bits for our arrival, i.e. milk, snacks that our kids were absolutely delighted about, and other little essentials. It made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
The immediate area around the apartment is quite touristy. It has a 1980s feel, but the beautiful old town is only a five-minute walk away, with plenty of cafés, restaurants and amenities. Going up the East and West Hills is a must!
There is also a Middle Eastern restaurant downstairs, serving really great food - just be warned that the portions are massive! There’s a car park directly across the road and a grocery shop just around the corner, which made things very convenient.
Could someone please turn off the seagulls, especially in the mornings? ;)
