The location was lovely, and the specification of the barn is extremely high and well maintained. The property is also central to all of the things we wanted to do. All necessary essentials for washing, cooking etc were in place which solved a lot of messing around when trying to get out and about.

This was our 2nd stay at Rivington Barn (we liked the first one so much we decided to come back). Not only is the property comfortable, luxurious while being homely, but the hosts provided little touches that made us feel more like guests than paying customers. The location is very rural with very few properties nearby but is a great location because it's central for Cardiff & South Wales, near to Monmouth & Ross on Wye, and only a short trip to places like Hay-on-Wye, Hereford, Great Malvern, Tewkesbury, Gloucester & Worcester. And of course Symonds Yat is a must for the views (and only a few minutes away). I recommend going to Ledbury if you love historical buildings and for individual independent shops. Hereford Cathedral & Tewkesbury Abbey are also amazing. There are a number of really good local restaurants (as recommended by the hosts), particularly the Moody Cow (which sadly is closing in July) and the Potting Shed (for a really quirky experience). After long days out, it was always a pleasure to return to Rivington Barn every time because it quickly felt like home. I can't recommend this property enough.
Absolutely nothing. (Ok, maybe the cows next door can get a little vocal at times, but really this isn't an issue).
