Located in Olive, this attractive house for $200 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Wake up in this private tranquil retreat. The cozy, 2 bed 1 bath mid-century modern cottage is located on over two acres of land boasting a back deck, lovely ridge views, a lawn, and woods for a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Olive Star Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, stocked with all the essentials, new stainless appliances and sliding doors out onto the deck. The living room has been outfitted with mid-century modern furniture and the comfortable couch is perfect for movie watching in front of the gas fire. There is also outdoor seating, hammock, umbrellas, a fire pit and a grill for use in warmer weather. The house has two bedrooms with queen size beds and a ceramic tile bathroom - linens and towels are provided in addition to basic toiletries. A Marshall speaker & wireless internet access provide the entertainment. Guests have access to the ground floor of the property (the upstairs space is not available for guests) and the expansive lawn. Dogs are welcome . A one time pet fee of $40 applies. We are available 24/7 with questions, concerns or suggestions, otherwise we want you to enjoy the privacy of your vacation. The house is a five minute drive from the beautiful Ashokan Reservoir and a close drive to hiking trails, watering holes, and apple picking. The wonderful restaurants located in Stone Ridge, High Falls, and Woodstock are also just 20 minutes away. Town of Olive Registration #: STR-22-28

Very nice home for a rural stay in the Catskills. We had a family wedding at The Ashoken Center and the house was quite convenient. The home has modern amenities, lovely linens and a spacious back yard for lounging or a bonfire. The manager was also very responsive.

I rented this cottage with two other friends so we could attend a festival in the area. The cottage was fresh and clean as described, there were adorable critters in the yard, and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and sitting in the cozy living room.

The house provides everything you need. We saw deer and lot of wildlife in the garden. All attractions of the catscills are close and easy to reach.

First and foremost, cleanliness is next to godliness for any property, and here the house does not fail. I found the house to be clean, comfortable well equipped, and everything in working order. The house appears outside and in as presented in the description and the photos. In addition, I had several interactions with the owner and found her to be both responsive, helpful and very kind. All in all, very positive indeed! So, no drawbacks? I stayed in the house for two weeks and slept in the bedroom facing the front yard. I found the bed to a bit uncomfortable and lumpy. I my view the mattress could do with a replacement, but I acknowledge that preferences can vary so you may not find this to be an issue.
